Ahhhh you replied before me:).

She was about 1.5 feet away from the wall, what fstop do you recommend?:)

well you used a very low fstop which is unforgiving so it can be tricky for us to get what we want in focus. it's hard for me to just pick one out of the air because i dont know the situation. I'd recommend bringing the model at 3-4 feet away from the backdrop. try starting at f/5.6 and work up. if you can shoot tethered, it's easier to see if you're getting things in focus than using the screen on the camera. also, remember to use your in-camera metering and always turn IS off while on the tripod.

That would have worked perfectly, dammit!!

How would that go outside though hmmmmm...a very long usb cord:)

haha well it would be tricky to tether while using it hand held. you could do it if you're on a tripod tho.
