I haven't posted much in a couple weeks. Also, I had surgery (appendectomy) last week. I'm just now starting to post more often. Plus, there hasn't been many birds around since it cooled down. I haven't seen a Hummingbird in over a week. I guess they're on the move south. Here are a few shots of some House Sparrows visiting the birdbath.

Ruby-throated Hummingbird (female)

Do you like my left side? House Sparrow (female)

Or do you like my right side? House Sparrow (female)

House Sparrow (male)

Brad, you should still see some more hummers. i am seeing quite a few every day up here still. I like the sparrow shots, too, sometimes we take what we get. I am hoping to capture my Eurasian Tree Sparrows soon. So, where you may be disappointed a little, I've never watched house-like sparrows so intently...lol.

Straightening...lol. Every time I straighten the horizon, I hang the picture crooked.

Nice shots Brad, hope you get well quickly and get back out in the field! I need to see some hawk shots! I know they are coming your way.

Thanks, it's much appreciated Dave. I'm starting to get around better. I hope to get more shots in the coming days.

Thanks chopper, I saw one Hummer today that made a quick "look" and go. My uncle in Georgia says he has quite a few hanging around. I haven't given up on them. We keep the feeder up until about the first freeze.

Really appreciate the kind words Steve, I'll keep my eyes peeled for those Hawks. I hope to see any bird other than our Mockingbird and House Sparrows in the backyard.
