This is only the second male senior I've shot so I'm glad we got some good shots that his mom loves and I can use for my portfolio. These are from the final selection his mom made. She seemed to like a lot of the non-smiling ones apparently.

C&C are welcome.

(The young guy had a lot of acne on the forehead, so there is a lot of time spent on smoothing the skin and getting rid of the red blotches afterward. I think it looks a little over-processed but there was no way around it...)

Overall, nice set! Whats with the crazy lean in 5? He's practically laying down. The B&W one is my pick of the bunch. Also, the PP on the forehead isn't even really noticeable... to me at least.

I just got done editing the set and I wanted to post them up asap. I don't crop anything until it goes to print so yeah that one definitely needs it. I might rotate it for a more vertical shot. I just show the parents all the pics and these are the ones she picked out...

As for the acne; for reference...here is the original basketball shot:

#7 is my favorite out of the bunch. A little to much tilt on the rest except #1. Kinda gave me a little motion sickness (didnt' think that could happen) great job though and especially on the retouch

for every tilted shot there is a straight (safe) shot. these are what the client selected.

#1 is great. The tilt in 3, 4, and 5 is a bit too much for my taste.

good lighting overall, just when you pose standing up against walls try bringing your subject a couple of feet away from the wall so their is some subject separation and some dof adds more to the photo imo.

on #1 I would like to crop a little above his head and see his feet. This kid has a nice smile. I would have made him smile a lot more. Overall they are very good.

why are my flickr images re-sized down and look soft?

if i right click on any image and hit "view image" it opens it up in a new window and is considerably bigger (100px?) and is much sharper...

help?

Nice set he looks too young to be a senior LOL. I like one just wish I could see his feet and get rid of some of the dead space above his head. Good job on the retouching on these.

The UNtilted shot (your last post) is soooo much better!
Way to go on the PP...very nicely done.
