Wanting to get some feedback on these. I love the cross-processed/vintage look, it just seems difficult to get right and find myself second-guessing whether or not I should have just done normal, true color processing. Wasn't happy with the time of day, some harsh lighting but I shot all w/ 580EX II for fill flash to reduce contrast ratio.

Don't go easy please!

That first shot is great! His expression in #3 doesn't work for me. The vintage look appears okay, though not the best I've ever seen. I do know how hard it is to get right, though.

I love them. they're gorgeous. Did you use a sepia filter? it looks a little strong, whatever you did, but I think if you just toned it down a bit, it would be great.

nice work.

Thanks. :) All done in post-processing. I'll try toning them down some and seeing how it looks.

Love to see what the photos look like in the org. color format. What lens did you use for these? Was the flash on camera?

+1. Little boy needs to smile or something. The little girl is simply precious. Those kiddie smiles are what a poarent wants to see when their kid gets older and they look back on fond childhood memories.

Thanks for the feedback, really appreciate it. I would have liked for him to give me a big smile, but they seriously had about 10 meltdowns and this was towards the end of the shoot w/ only me and my wife watching them (and me trying to take pictures at the same time). :)

Quick edits... any better? I know some of the highlights are blown but I'll fix that later.

I guess I'm old school enough to prefer your last edits. I like the natural color and contrast on these.

Thanks. :) I think I like them better as well. Going to stick with natural color from now on.
