I'm considering switching my 10-20mm F3.5 to the 8-16mm but I'm wondering what kind of subject isolation you get at 8mm MFD F4.5? I would really like to see an example similar to the one I'm posting.

This is shot at 10mm F3.5 MFD

If you're looking for subject isolation I don't think the 8-16 is the path you want to take.

You're probably right, I'd still like to keep some subject isolation. Maybe I should keep this lens and look into getting a fisheye instead to compliment it. Initially I wanted 8mm for an even wider perspective, capturing from strange angles like inside the fridge or other extremely tight places, but now that I think about it 8mm won't cut it anyway. I think a fisheye like the Samyang 8mm would probably suit what I had in mind a lot better. I don't really need AF on a fisheye anyways.
