Not trying to be harsh at all here, but if you have three Canon cameras, (are they all point and shoot models?) one or perhaps even ALL of them are pretty capable of taking outdoor soccer shots. Before jumping onto the DSLR band wagon with a body and lenses for shooting sports, I consulted the manual on my low-cost Canon A560, (think that was the model) worked through the settings and was able to get some pretty darned good shots of my son playing during 7th and 8th grade (outdoors, daylight) football seasons. Some were zoomed, others I was able to get close enough to not have to zoom to the 'digital' zoom option.

Granted, the shots taken with the A560 weren't Sports Illustrated quality, but they are sharp, well exposed and printed up nicely to boot! If you're not getting sharp shots outdoors, please read the manual, learn the camera and keep working until you DO see good results. Your cameras are capable. Trust me.
