I admit that the only issue I have had with the 350 has been the speed and accuracy of the autofocus. Is it worth going to the 20D?

IMHO.. go to any local stores and rent for weekend, pay with it, itis not too expancive to rent prob $30-40, and you will find out yourself "Photography takes an instant out of time, altering life by holding it still."
