I admit that the only issue I have had with the 350 has been the speed and accuracy of the autofocus. Is it worth going to the 20D?

I definitely agree. After renting the 20D, you will know whether or not it is worth it.

The AF speed an accuracy will really rock with those f/2.8 and better lenses in you kit bag there (I read your footer!) :D

I got a Rebel XT at the very first place, but its really too small for me, and than I upgrade to the 20D and it just feel prefect, and Yes, the AF speed is faster and very accurate
