I posted this in the urban section but I really want some critiquing and advice so I'm posting here too.

I took my camera to the park today to shoot whatever, and this is some of what I got. I apologize for the sensor dirt marks on a few photos, I learned about sensor cleaning today..I also learned I need to get myself a tripod if I'm going to be doing this more often. Most photos are very lightly (if at all) PP'd, but after the golden hour came and went the sky got boring so I added a few skies in. Any C&C would be greatly appreciated, this was my first time ever shooting anything with my own DSLR.

btw, I didn't touch the car one, the grass was really that green, kinda freaked me out.

What did you have in mind or want to express with your photographs? Most of them seem to lack any real focus or theme. Before you hit that shutter, do you know what you are trying to capture? is there a better way to capture it?

I think the red car shot could have been a winner if:

1) there was no tree in the foreground
2) the car was driving at you, with the occupants' faces visible

The shot is a bit better because the red/green contrast really pops the colors and seeing the top down yet the yellowed and fallen leaves gives a distinct impression of "pleasant autumn day".

The only focus in mind was to capture what I thought made my city a nice place and whatever stood out to me, the city and park are full of diversity and culture, so I think that reflects in my photos.

Gooooooooooo Riderrrrrs! :)

I'd like #2 much better if it wasnt tilted and you had kept the top part of the building.

Most of pics are sharp but tilted. I think your best is the one with flying birds. There are dark spots on both ends left/right
