After going through a heavy storm, there was a small puddle of water in the main compartment of my Clik Elite Telephoto chest pack. Fortunately the lens hood kept my glass out of the puddle, but the water seeped right through.

This is an FYI for anyone considering these packs. You will need a secondary rain cover inside or out to fully protect your camera. It kept most of the water out for sure, but there was enough to make things very wet inside after an hour of rain or so.

I noticed on a lot of the Clik Elite bags that the YKK zippers don't close up at the ends completely and leave a small gap.

I do like their bags but I didn't like seeing that. Especially when the zipper end is at the base and water can run right in.

I've been faring well with the Ortlieb Aquazoom as well on land as on the water for years.

When hiking I use it with the harness like a chest pack.

Are the Clik Elite chest packs advertised as being waterproof?
