why not just get flextt5s only? small difference in size and price. doing some research before purchasing. thanks.

That's what I did. Although the MiniTT1 is smaller than the FlexTT5, I like the fact that the FlexTT5 can be used as a receiver, a transmitter or both. And has an external antenna. Although the specs say that the range of both are the same, I sometimes wonder if they really are. ...Leo

I looked at that as well, and the reason I went all TT5 was just easier to manage the batteries EOS R6’ / 1D X / 1D IV (and the wife has a T4i)

And since I usually never mount a flash ON my camera (I use flash off-camera angles), I prefer the smaller profile. I only need the transmit feature ON the camera body. I use the Flex units on mic stands with 580's, so the bigger size is not an issue.
