ANYWAY - how about we meet in good old New England for a bird-watching day?

Well there's certainly enough of us New Englanders that do wildlife.

Where would we do this? What about Monomoy on Cape Cod, which is probably the hottest spot in the area this time of year. It is a bit of a pain, but worth it.

Any other suggestions?

I will have to vote for Utah (Zions, etc. area) since I am close enough to drive in a few hours and also it is close to Vegas! ;)

New England? I live there!

Perhaps a little planning and we can have a meet somewhere in New Hampshire during Fall Foliage ... it's NOT that far away! I hear the Kangamangus is lovely that time of year!

(been meaning to head north for Autumn for the last 4 or 5 years ... MAYBE this is the year!)

Plymouth! There's another great spot! Or maybe some other seaport town along the coast.

Come on down to Rhode Island. Make a day of it. Visit Providence, then take the ferry through Narragansett Bay to Newport. Spend the afternoon in Newport and ferry back to Providence ... if it's a Saturday there may be a Waterfire ... great for night shooting!

It would be too difficult to decide on the right season to meet there. Every month can be good.

Yes, it certainly. And it's generally full of tourists. For foliage I usually like to hit the back roads in the lower mountains. But we have a few people here who live in Concord and the area... Maybe they'll speak up?

Hehehehe... You should've started taking some pictures of them. That would've freaked 'em out a little...

Hmmm, this thread doesn't seem to go anywhere yet, even though it's made sticky.

I'll be visiting New York from September 9 to September 14.
Otherwise I'm in the Netherlands (near Rotterdam).
