Here's the coldest ever Trash the Dress session I think I'll ever do! (Big Kudos to the girls!)

Modelled by the lovely Elissa, and my better half, Katrina.
Katrina is generally seen behind the camera, and applying makeup.

Especially love 1. Don't know if those whites are blown--it looks it--but I think it totally works and brings out a graphical/linear element.

Second to last looks a little dark to me and the subject seems a little lost in the vignetting and in the scene. Perhaps if I saw the image blown up on a larger scale I'd think differently.

Thanks, appreciated. Found it very difficult to expose out there using an 85L and SUPER white bright mountain! Plus it was soooo cold, I had purple hands from shooting, and was layered up in jackets.. Poor brides! The wind whipping by was the worst feeling.

Thanks, I had a few perspectives of this, but this was from the highest point I could find. Very windy there.

We were also shooting with Momentz photography, (forum members), who were more focused on Elissa, and had some better shots :) - http://momentz.co.nz/blog (external link)

Cheers, I see what you mean.. there were some other shots, but these were all after the mountain, sadly she was so cold.

This was the last photo before the tripod fell over and broke our brand new 5D II. *cries*
Just had it repaired, and needed a new PCB (landed on the CF card door).. NZ $924 later ($US700)

Simply outstanding! Best wedding pics I've seen in a while.
Great to see NZ again. Did the Tongariro trekking few years ago. What a scenery for wedding pics hm.

good stuff. i like the HDR one along the river. it's not overdone.

did you just take a medium exposure and pop it into photoshop? use multiple exposures based on one image?

Fortunately we've got it back and repaired. Just in time for two more weddings this weekend!

We did the Tongariro Crossing in Feb this year. Was epic.

Thanks! Yeah the HDR was a single frame, and pulled out different exposures from the Raw file. I hate overdone HDR's too. Like to keep them subtle and realistic :)

Our next Trash the Dress shoot is in a few weeks, and also have some Drown the Gown pics to share soon.
