I can only attach one image.

I'm using the correct method (link found in Edit Image on pbase), and it attaches ok. Looks fine in preview. However, if I try to attach a second image, it clobbers the first. In other words, only the latest linked image shows in the Current Attachments list.

Example please.

Don't quite know what you mean by example, but here are the two urls:

http://www.pbase.com …mage/129175660/medium.jpg (external link)
http://www.pbase.com …mage/129175662/medium.jpg (external link)

When I attach 60, it shows in the current attachment list and previews ok. But when I attach 62, 60 disappears and 62 is the only one in the current attachments list and is the only one that shows in preview.

Are you trying to attach them or embed them?

If you have the photos on pbase there is not need to uploade them as attachments.

Just use this

Thanks, Tommy. I'll do that.

Still a curiosity, tho. I tried a test post on another vBulletin forum and it did the same thing - would not attach more than one image.

I use pbase for hosting and haven't had a problem. I copy the link in the address bar and put in between the [IMG] tags.

You're embedding the images, not attaching them. Attached images are copied onto the POTN servers and displayed from there. Embedded images are served up by pbase, SmugMug, Flickr, PhotoBucket . . .

The vBulletin "Attach" dialog is configured to allow only one URL or 2 local drive addresses as image sources for the transfer to the forum server. That's a vBulletin "feature". I seriously doubt Pekka will bother to try to get it fixed. If you've hosted the image elsewhere, then why "attach" it so there's a copy saved on POTN as well as where you originally have it? Not only do you minimize stray (known) copies of your image floating around if you embed rather than attach, but you don't need to worry about the file size (in KB) limit that is in place for attached images.
