Sitting around with friends while one of them was filling out an application that needed a headshot along with it. She was searching for some photos on her laptop but couldn't find one she liked. I've never done a headshot before so I'm not really sure if these fall in that genre but we had fun anyway.

I did push it a bit on the brighter side per request but it kinda works for me without having that overly done glow look.

Beautiful lady. I like the bright processing, but maybe find a way to tone down her white shirt. Also, watch how you're cropping her arms and hands (see #1 and #2).

Thanks you! I'll have to check the originals and check for cropping options.

A head shot is just that: a head shot. If you want to go by the book, 3 is your bet. I do wish her eyes had a little more "pop" but its nice regardless.

1&2 are bright but I wouldn't say theyre over exposed. I like them for what they are.

Cropping is well... depends on how I feel that day. I think it works only okay in 1 but I would like to see the full arm and hands in 2.

I like them man! Yeah, the crops are a little "miss-positioned" but it still looks good :).
Even though they are extremely bright, it brings out her eyes.

KUDOS!

very nice!
How did you get her eyes to pop like that? I still have a rebel xt and I could barely see the iris in the eyes...

These are v good, and the model looks at ease. I wonder if there may be a bit too much extraneous background on the first two, given their use as headshots.

I think they are very good, and welcoming.

I like them as portraits, but the first two should be zoomed closer for head shots. I've always thought of a headshot as a vertical 8x10, just head and shoulders. I could be totally wrong (and usually am). They're great shots, just not what I call a head shot.
