Hi all - I shot this tonight, and while I don't think the stuff in the midground makes for a great landscape shot, I think it works with the clouds and foreground. Just trying to see what other folks think in terms of composition. Thanks!

The bushes in the front are taking up all of my attention. Zoom past that to the mouth of the river with the sun.

Not working for me, sorry, its too much of nothing that grabs me, and the horizon is not level.

you're a great friend, but if Zombies chase us, I am tripping you.

First off, your horizon is crooked by a couple of degrees. That's the first thing I noticed. I agree with the others. This image doesn't do anything for me. The bushes and the top right cloud kill the image for me. Also, the sunset just isn't very attractive. The picture is also kind of dull.

Thanks all - I appreciate the feedback. This spot is close to home, and I knew there was some thick fog on the horizon so didn't want to drive too far. I'll pay a lot more attention to the horizon moving forward too.

I agree entirely with yourself, great sky, shame about the foreground but don't delete worth keeping for pasting into other images where sky isn't so interesting.

The bush is in the way and the horizon is crooked. But other than that I like the pic.

You have way to much in the scene. Try cropping alot off the top and some off the bottom. You are trying to emphasize the sunset and there is to much else in the shot competing with it. I would crop it just above the first road in the field (and clone out the remaining tree limbs at right), then crop the top just below the first body of darker clouds. This will make the sunset the main focus and create a panoramic effect.
