Thanks for all the comments....Jon....the colors are still fine....if you look at the EXIF....the image is from a previous season. ;) Not much color showing here yet.....another week or two before things get interesting.

Yes, I was wondering where you got the fall color when everything that I have seen so far is still mostly green. ...looking forward to the color change. KC

I figured that would confuse everyone! Haven't seen you around in a while. I can't wait for things to start changing.

Beautiful images Dan! I know these were shot last year. However, do you think the colors will still be okay the last week of October? My wife has a 5 days off at the end of the month and we thought about heading to the Southeast. Your images pretty much convinced me where we should go. Again, great work!

Colors here are usually at or near peak the last week of October and the first week of November. With the radical changes in elevation here, you are apt to see the whole spectrum....from some green to full color to bare trees.

Great shots of a beautiful area. I live near the BRP in Va and can't wait for the new season of color to come. Usually mid to end of October here is the prime colors for the fall.

Thanks for the advice! I think we'll make the trip and hope for the best. Have a great fall and keep the images coming.

Colors are starting to come on at the higher elevations.

Thanks. There is still plenty of green here, so I suspect you will be able to catch some color.

Very beautiful. Number 2 reminds me of a painting one of my sons did. Wonderful colors.
