Quick question: Who has the best price on CF cards at present? probably looking for a couple of 8G cards.

any preference for brand or speed? if it's purely on price, then there's buckets out there quite cheap...

e.g. http://www.technologycentre.co.nz …CF+CompactFlash+Card.html (external link)

some fairly old canon camera stuff, canon lenses, Manfrotto "thingy", 1D MK II (broken), and an M5, along with a M6 destined for 720nm
TF posting: here :-)

Man, that's a massive price difference. I have always used Sandisk and the 8G Extreme is about $120.00; Not sure any of my bodies will exceed the CF write speed so that doesn't really matter.

I wonder if there is any realistic difference in their reliability?

EDIT: Decided to go with Sandisk (known reliability for me) but went down to the Ultra II which is more than fast enough for me, about $70.00 for 8G.

And, if anyone is after a cheep to run little car, the Carolla is for sale, just printed out a couple of signs, go for a WOF in the morning and then put it out on the road.

Details?

Welcome to Auckland!

It's been a while since we last did anything like a meet up.

I think it's about time we organized another.
