First photo we have seen from you in ages!
Not bad considering the circumstances, but wouldn't win a prize. I think you need more practice!

Did I mention I bought an IPad in USA. Man this thing is cool. I bought it mainly for displaying photos, and it is absolutely fantastic for that. For the wedding I shot there, I quickly downloaded some photos onto it and passed it around the guests. Probably the best advertising you can do. Any photo looks great on that screen.
Where it is also fantastic, is web browsing. Scrolling with your fingertip, zooming in or out etc is so much easier on that than on a laptop.
Very cool thing.

An appropriately themed photo, poor technique I know (Minnie is completely OOF) but the dogs were being less than helpful...

I must admit, it is pretty exhausting stuff.
I photographed my sisters wedding 2 weeks ago in New Hampshire USA on the day before the Hurricane & flooding hit. It was hot & sticky (Humid). There is a photo of me and it looks like someone has poured a bucket of water over me. My shirt is completely wet. Maybe that is why I didn't score. .. just joking. Anyway, it is a good substitute for a workout in a fitness centre. Actually when people comment on how big & expensive my gear looks, I point out that it saves me loads of money. Instead of paying for a fitness studio I just have to go out and take some photos.

Thanks to the public transport debacle I didn't make it into town. However I did watch the fireworks from Hopetoun street. Here is a shot - not as sharp as I like...

I'd love more 8 hour weddings :) Ours are usually over that... but for the most part always totally enjoy them... you get over the being tired part :)

Have uploaded a set to our FB page : http://www.facebook.com …361721.45425207417&type=1 (external link)
We headed up Mt Eden and had a great view.. also meant we could see clearly as I heard the smoke blocked a lot of the view from the shore... we were a bit further away of course, but the 70-200 came in handy.

Aaron videoed it with the 5DII : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cYWKwmQZEOw (external link)

over 8 hours! i could not even begin to imagine how you would feel the day ( or 2 days ) after that!

it was an enjoyable day, dont think i would plan on doing it again. have only just got through the start of cutting down the amount of photos i have taken, theres alot more work ahead :(

lol :) Like I say - you do get used to it.. We try to only have one wedding a weekend, but sometimes there is two (fri & Sat).. Now it tends to be more completely shattered after 16 hour days when indian weddings are involved :D The editing is definately the hardest part.. you're good getting straight into it though.. takes me a week or two before I even look at them :D
