You just want to get out in the boat. :D

Nice choice by the way. Have done a lot of diving off those things, easy to get into the water from, reasonable easy to get into but a devil of a job getting tanked up in!!

Are you keeping the kayak as well?

I sold the yak a couple of years ago. It just wasn't working for me post op. And the kids were wanting to come with me more and more. So I have just been waiting for the right time to get the boat.

Fair enough, good to keep the kids involved. New fishing rods & life jackets all round too??

Duncan keen?

yes but can't do tomorrow - have to take the boys to see their grandparents before they forget what they look like  (plus I'm on call so should really keep within cell coverage...)

how's the cleaner sensor look? done any more testing?

some fairly old canon camera stuff, canon lenses, Manfrotto "thingy", and an M5, also an M6 that has had a 720nm filter bolted onto the sensor:

Ok been playing and thinking ...... and goodness knows we need some sunshine in Auckand anyway .....

Reverse grads ...... here is my attemp doing in photoshop. Often horizon during sunset way to bright normal grad filter only darkens top, reverse grad does opposite center outward.

Yes histogram checked before posting and during PP

Heaps heaps heaps better. Tony, you surprise me sometimes. Every tutorial I have seen or read about photo processing starts off in lesson 1 with tweaking the histogram!

But be carefull of the hooks in the blowup:lol:
I was with a group diving off a blowup boat years ago, and we found an old crayfish pot/cage which we dragged into the boat. In doing so put a big hole in the side of the boat. We had about 30 minutes ride back to the beach and big surf against cliffs all the way to the beach, so no other place where we could land.
I stuck my thumb in the hole and we gunned it before the side went down.... It was quite exciting. Do be carefull of barnicle covered crayfish pots!
