umm ...... OH HELL YES ... a sunset in auckland at last

Mark V and I went around Puketutu Island. we are about 10 days short of the sun setting right in the heads.
Save for web has muted colours.

Spent sometime finding a good spot with foreground intrest. A LOT of time checking historgram after each shot. But I had to bracket. 1 for forground 1 for sun.
Be intrested to see MarkV's reverse grad shots .......

That's pretty tidy Tony, don't why you worry about your work.

Print it big and stick it on the wall.

So long and thanks for all the flash

Always remember to turn around and look behind or to the side, the light on the hills was great, I couldn't re-create it unfortunately.

No, the last two are bare lens, both had slight crops, levels & de-dust bunnying.

Mark V there is only about a week a year the sun sets in that gap and that spot we were at is the best spot.

I will redo the walk to the point again, this time on a low tide. Time from car park to point is 1hr on a full tide.

Holy Crap! 4 days away and you guys fill out 5 pages and even include some photos (and some nice ones at that!)

Went away for 4 nights, came home to 496 emails, and a few fallen ornaments thanks to the latest 5.0 quake we luckily missed.
