Quick pic from fridays Raglan stage. First rally event ever and loved it. Not the sharpest shot but I liked it, 1D focus tracking with all the stones was leaping about in this shot. I took 4 shots in total and got some nicely focused stones I must admit :D

Settings issues aside the view out there is awesome....Should have stopped at the falls too but ran out of time.

If the 1d is jumping from car to stones too quickly make an af change to slow down focus tracking (this doesnt make it slower to focus, just slower to switch subjects)

Thanks Rob, yeah good spotting.

Most of the others were decent as long as the cars were front on or side.

Mainly when stones would shoot out the focus would leap to the other "surrounding" focus points, which in hindsight I should of had off and as you suggested slow the focus tracking would have helped.

Heh well focus stuff is complicated and no one setting is going to get it right all the time.

Luckily I dont usually worry about it too much :D

If any of the kiwi guys want to buy CS6 from the US I managed it easy. VPN to the US (I used Astrill), I picked a random US address, signed in with my own Adobe ID, used my own NZ credit card. I did it in the Adobe Volume Licensing business area by mistake but that worked fine, it just took 24 hours for the license to show up, next time I'd use the regular purchase area. In the license area is you click on your client ID then hit search, they don't show up automatically.
