I figured it would be a useful thing to see what sort of temp the webserver machine, Gig switch & dsl router were running in...

At one stage I considered putting a vent fan in there - but then, winters' coming eh?

at those tempatures I wouldn't worry about it esp if that's during the heat of summer. if it was getting up to the likes of 60 or something then I would worry.

Nice. What are you using to do the temperature logging? I'd quite like to throw a few around the place, and track them on the computer. I haven't found a good and affordable way to do it yet.

I'd say it would be easy to extend the probe cabling, but you'd need a USB hub to connect them all so a tad impractical if you're wanting more than 3 or so. I'll ask my offsider at work what he's running in his DIY home ventilation system as I've a feeling he has sensors in rooms to control airflow etc.

Very nice. Looks like beautiful weather.

the weather was very nice, hot and burning. The farm land is very dry and almost dust.

I'm not happy with the final result, the rocks are a over exposed. I found it hard to get a good exposure on the day.

Damn, It is still cold here, so sitting in the sun on the beach is a long way off. I have my winter milky white tan.

Peter you may not realise it, NZ is having it's longest hottest summer for some say 70 yrs. The North island has almost totally been declared a drought area, and those lovely rolling green hills of home are now brown. I have not been photoing much recently either.

Yes, I've heard that. Though I have 2 friends who visited N.Z. in Jan/Feb, where in Waitangi on Waitangi Day, and they came back saying they found New Zealand too cold. I was surprised.
I think that the extra long summer you are having is all coming from here.
Had another snow storm yesterday, and this morning the car was frozen and covered in snow.

You are not alone, I've heard from Brittain and Alaska both saying Winter seems to have extended.
