I will go & have a play with one. Sounds like it will fit the bill nicely.

In other news, picked up my replacement van today. Didn't realize how tall it is, stuff onto & off roof racks may be an issue :o

QUOTED IMAGE

Looks better equipped to handle Off road excursions than the previous one.

some fairly old canon camera stuff, canon lenses, Manfrotto "thingy", and an M5, also an M6 that has had a 720nm filter bolted onto the sensor:

So I go into Pro-gear this afternoon (just happen to be passing ) and they didn't have a charged battery in the place. :p

So, it didn't get to see what the view finder is like. However, dispite its smallish size, I quite like the button layout etc. So, I may just go for it. Pro-gear do seem to have a quite high price on it though.

Pro Gear and Apix will match, or better anyone's price.
Pro Gear in particular get a really good wholesale rate from Canon based on their volume.

Yep, will do.

Can't say I know anyone at Progear now, seems to have had a few staff changes.

I do like Apix, I'll "pop in" whilst "passing" in the next day or so. Hope they have some charged batteries
