Mark, I checked out that and the rest of the gear you got on TM and that looks fine to me. Pricing seems hard to judge to be honest. I was selling my 40D on trademe and listed it 3 times and didn't get a single bite.

I even started the price at $300 and still no one brought it, Sold it to a friend for $200 in the end. I think it's just start it with a best price and see what happens.

Thanks guys, I've checked the TSE price and made a small adjustment to the reserve but I think it's pointless putting too much on it, it just wont sell. If it doesn't, so be it but the whole idea is to off-load stuff that I'm not using.

It is quite interesting the questions that people ask though, it's almost like they can't read

I dont think some people do.

You write explicitly that this is a yellow widget and the first thing people as is what colour it is.

One thing that puts me off selling via trademe, its full of morons.

Now, in unrelated matters, as I discussed earlier, I have started to off-load some of my surplus stuff on T/M. You guys are probably not interested in it but I wounder if I could get some pricing feed back.

and any of the other stuff I have listed.

Cheers

Shutter counts for 1D series cameras are easy to obtain, it's well documented on POTN and other sites how to do it.

I got a count for the Mk2 but there isn't anything I can find for the Mk3.

Doesn't matter to me. Why people are so caught up in it is strange, esp. when some of the people don't sound like they know what the heck they are talking about anyway.

Just seems to be "the" question to ask, just for the sake of asking. The question people should/could be asking is if they could get the address so that they can check it out in person.....

When you shell out at least $400 for a new shutter, knowing if you need to factor that into the purchase price is quite important.

Knowing the shutter count won't prevent one failing. It could go the next shot or after 100000 more shots.

It's the same as kms on a car really. It's a rough indication of the work it has done, but doesn't represent the state of the product in any way.
