Some nice photos being posted here.. I like the last waterfall Tony. The bit of grass in the foreground adds an interesting focal point.

I like that last one Chris.

Thanks Peter, I tried to get something out of the darker areas but couldn't get anything I liked so I darkened them even more! Would have like the blues in the sky and water to be a bit more wow, the original raw is actually not very interesting at all.

Panasonic Lumix G9 and lenses from 7mm wide to 300mm long.

Done it. Can be pretty gnarly after rains. Make sure your camera gear is well sealed as there is a bit of criss crossing the stream.

Wasn't really looking at them that way back then. Plenty of different angles / levels to shoot from so should be

I had sent the sigma 100-300 f4 there when I had it. They couldn't even tell me if it arrived! Mind you that was over 5 years ago. So they may have changed since then. I'm sure they are good at replacing giving it a service.

Where is a good place to send a canon lens? The 100mm macro makes a small noise when using the manual focus ring.

Yes good afternoon. It was a few years ago when Scott and I went out that way and saw it. Last year I got the details of the manager so gave him a ring yesterday and we went out.

It is made up of 4 falls that cascade the highest one you can see from road is about 15ft easy to get to base of.

Bit more water and less light may have helped

These are unnamed falls but on the topo maps as Maraetai Stream.
There is a larger one further up but looks like a mission to get to

There is another big one around the next block of land but will need a 4x4 to get to.

Is this the one out Port Waikato Way?
