Rob, I think I already told you this over on FB, but I have to say it again -- the colours and clarity of the pebbles in the foreground are just stunning.

One picture from me, taken just around the corner from Rob's shot, taken the same day in the morning. Wish there were some clouds in the sky, but had to suffer through this:

Thanks. I explored the area with one of the original builders of Erewhon Station (and the ski field up there), so learned a lot and got to see some areas not publicly accessible.

The next clear night, I'm hoping to get up to that valley and shoot the Milky Way either from here...

Wow! Some impressive photos appearing over the last few days.

I am off on holiday for 2 weeks. Austria and Italy. We will see where the weather and adventure takes us. Camper is loaded with windsurfing gear on the roof, and all mountain bikes on the back. I only wish the weather was more like summer. It has a definite autumn feel to it.

Who knows.. I might actually take a photo.

Are you going to the Lake District in Italy? I spent a weekend at Lake Como about 13 years ago (was working in Zurich) and a week at Lake Garda last year. Beautiful places.
