Yep too some majors here, family relocation between cities, marriage disintegration then redundancy, after all that had been and done I was able to get my photo mojo back

Change is what I need badly .....

Not doing much photography myself at the moment.

Ok anyone here use Perfect Photo suite, is it any good?

Correct, it is, I was facing East with Rangitoto on my left there. The other shot is Northwards, Rangitoto out of the picture on my right. I didn't realise you could see it from Sydney

I haven't done much over winter so am out of practice, these shots are a bit average really.

I've turned down all wedding inquires for the next year. After 7 years I need a break, plus getting married six months ago, I want a summer or two with my wife where we can spend our weekends together and I'm not stressed from doing two jobs. Because with wedding photography unless you're one of the best and constantly advertising you need another job to keep you going.

Are you willing to dispense with any advice sir? I shoot (video shoot) my first wedding in November (to earn some money for another project I am doing).

The client's relaxed, I told them there's a real chance I could screw it up, I don't think I will, but it's a possibility none-the-less.

its that big 400mm with 2x TC -- help lots haha

you may think so ... I just enjoy seeing the pix all you guys post from around my ol' home country

.......We hiked Hooker valley's 10kms return track for sunset loaded down with camera gear, the sky looking good, all hopes were high.

Hopes way too high, stunning spot, but not so stunning light

Hours later we're back at the tents camping in -8 conditions ( after a little star shooting). All excited for another attempt the next morning.

Dragging ourselves out of frost laden tents at 4:30am , glancing at the totally clear skies, we start the walk in again. A few test shots half way into the valley and theres just a touch of cloud forming, we race in further , setup on the small patch of Hooker Lake that was still clear liquid water ( the rest very frozen).

Not a breath of wind
Only the sound of ice and snow falling from the peaks
The sky fills with wispy cloud
and the sun strikes the atmosphere
What a light show
What a place.......

Absolutely Stunning
