They look a bit fake Chris, the top one especially.

Interesting. The top one was a dull grey day, lifeless. The only reason I took the shot was that I had never seen a sea plane there before. I rather like the way it turned out. :)

Hmmmmmm my first camera was a Kodak 116 folding camera
QUOTED IMAGE
given to me by my mother. About one year later she realised that I had taught myself to take some ok images, so she took it back. I remember negs as big as post cards and of course it was auto nothing, one even had to cock the shutter. I also seem to remeber it was an extremely expensive thing to run, I never did any dark room work.

Have fun :)

yea that's a bit too old for me. no review so no idea if getting exposure just right. Auckland camera centre has got 120 film still around and plenty of youtube videos on how to load it.

http://www.aucklandcamera.co.nz …ID=163/120-Roll-Film.html (external link)

so I think there's still a number of people using film even tho digital is the market.

Yes, people still use film. Have you not yet met one of those "It's not a real photo unless it was taken on film'' people yet?

Cool camera.
Actually with negatives the size of postcards, you don't need an enlarger in the darkroom. My first camera was a Yashika TLR medium format camera. used 6 x 6 film. It was easy to develop, as you lay the film directly on the photo paper, and turned the light on for x seconds, and got a 6 x 6 print from it.

Nice pics Mark

are these single images ? ie. no focus stacking etc ?

EDIT ... was just realising .... seeing your first image, the bumblebee, we don't see them in Australia ( well not anywhere I have been / lived over here)
such a common sight in NZ

Dave

Imported from England, we now export them back as there population is endangered.

opps Bumble Bees I mean.
