Thanks guys. Despite living in Colorado for 10 years and loving to hike, bike, and ski, I was never that much into landscapes (travel and urban were more my interest), but I feel like my landscape photography has improved quite a bit in the last 12 months since moving to NZ. So many great spots so easily accessible.

Great photography spot will go back. Getting to far for single day trip.

Looks a fairly rugged coastline.

Doing the Tongariro Crossing this weekend. Never really done anything down there, be a bit of an exploratory trip.

Then the next stop over Matapouri which has sheltered beach area for swimming.

Coast line is very different to what we used too

On way home came through Bream bay this is Langs Beach.

Seems Aucklanders buying up in this area big time

No..... A group of Sams cop mates are going but a couple have pulled out, me & No 2 son are filling in.

Looking forward to it, hopefully it doesn't hiss down.......

Four shots gets you same coverage with a little overlap on a full frame camera. Can't copy a link on this useless phone I have but search for nikon lens angle of view and theres a good list for various focal lengths...

I'm not down to try one out will see if I can get hold of one.

As for overlap yeah I rekon about 4 frames with 20-25% overlap at 24mm would do it though I havnt calculated anything

f4 is slow but if it is as clean at f4 as the 16-35/4 then it should be pretty good with a ~50 second exposure time
