yea, your completely right, fighting a losing battle there really.
I have seen some good spots when i do my early morning drives to tauranga, sadly the last thing i feel like doing is stopping as then i get to the job later and that means heading home later. :'(

Every place we go can produce a master piece but if light is harsh or flat it fails

Look outside in Auckland at the moment flat and dull. Yet someone will create a master piece (in photoshop )

Best Lightroom feature is you can merge your HDR or panos then open as RAW and do editing as you would normally or carry on in PS

Any stability issues?

I'm always weary of a new LR version, they don't have the best track record.

I didn't know that! Definitely changes thing a little, haha. Do you see a lot of American photographers in NZ or is it mainly just New Zealanders? It's on my bucket list of places to visit. I think I'll prob scale down my goals to landscape or vacationing for now.

Saw updates from a lot of overseas based wedding photographers touring NZ over our summer, met a few and had coffee with them too.

Most of them were here to visit and also used the opportunity to do some shoots, not sure if they were paid or not though.

Esp from a person who hated HDR so much I now see it has a use. Saves blending exposures.

Once HDR is done just open in RAW converter and process to taste

Lightroom can now do most of my PP work

Seems adobe are saying you only new 2 exposures for good HDR 2 stops over 2 stops under

Tried it with 1 exposure saved as 2 stop difference tifs again needs to be landscape photo to see results

Trey Ratcliff was baggin LR6 HDR because there are no options and the resultant file is quite boring and basically has the hilites recovery already maxed. He tridd just working one (middle) exposure with hilites/shadows sliders and got the same results.

I've not tried it yet

Yes when you set it to auto toning and open file you can see where the sliders end up which is open shadows drop highlights
