joeseph "smells like turd" More info | Aug 08, 2015 03:47 | #7399 nice - I must rush out & install it immediately (or at least soonish once I've finished building my new p.c....) some fairly old canon camera stuff, canon lenses, Manfrotto "thingy", and an M5, also an M6 that has had a 720nm filter bolted onto the sensor:

kiwichris I forget how I didded that! More info Post edited over 8 years ago by kiwichris. (2 edits in all) | Thanks Joseph. The 10 installation went very well, did not cause me, a numpty, any grief at all. Looks pretty stable and has quite a number of apps that want to control the mike and camera and others that report back to MS. Same old same old. For me, it is not a lot different than 8.1, just some things in different places. Software I was using in 8.1 all seems to work in the new OS so that is a bit of a change Panasonic Lumix G9 and some lenses

joeseph "smells like turd" More info | Aug 10, 2015 03:34 | #7405 my new motherboard doesn't have an IDE interface, so currently I don't have a DVD drive either. Or Photoshop for that matter, until I find the install disc... some fairly old canon camera stuff, canon lenses, Manfrotto "thingy", and an M5, also an M6 that has had a 720nm filter bolted onto the sensor:

(2 edits in all) | Aug 10, 2015 03:49 | #7408 it should be an upgrade, aka run setup.exe of windows 10 from within current version of windows. this is the only way to get your windows 7/8.1 updated for free. kiwichris I forget how I didded that! More info | In truth I think my 'puter is considerably slower, earlier today I somehow managed to 'lose' my desktop and the tiles took over. The 'windows' button stopped working . Have got that fixed, truly dunno how, but had problems getting the mike, internal or external to work and Dragon Naturally Speaking is nowhere as accurate as it was. Seems I will have to retrain it, providing the mikes keep working. The power settings dont seem to work, it does not go to sleep automatically. Panasonic Lumix G9 and some lenses
