upgraded my laptop and gaming computer to windows 10, quite like it on my laptop.
Have yet to try it on the gaming computer (have to wait for the wife to be at work as that's the only time she will let me play computer games D: )

Hi All, My visits here seem to be more and more seldom. Not sure why.. guess I am going through a bit of a photography flat spot. Also seem to have loads of other hobbies that are keeping be busy.

Anyway I'm off to Spain for 2 weeks next week. Driving 1200 km on sunday to get to our campsite... (That's the plan) We will see how it goes. Will aim to leave at 03:00am and try to get there in one day. Won't be stopping to take pictures on the way.

As my car will be completely full I won't take my DSLR, just my Sony RX100. Saves loads of space and takes pretty good pictures too.

visited hamilton gardens today, only saw a bit of it. will have to make another visit to see the rest.
is a very nice place to walk, and the Japanese garden is so peaceful (when theres no one else in there)

One of the photos our photographer took at our wedding got a silver award in one of the wedding sections.
Some fantastic work by some great photographers in there!

Went to Smiths Bush on the Northshore today with a photography group today, just a couple to show for the walk.

some interesting photos in that lot. I do ask the question tho, at what point does a photograph that's been edited is no longer a photograph. Sure some of these can be considered art and while most of the items that make up art work has been taken with a camera I don't think it's a photograph any more.

and what's with the theme of muted blacks. Doesn't anyone want black blacks any more?

You talking about a few that are in the bottom of the finalists section? they get quite interesting under the Illustrative section.
If they are judged against pictures of the same type i don't see any issues. They are far more creative than I am, that's for sure!

When you say 'muted blacks' fill me in with what that means, have no idea what I'm looking for
