So I'm having a play with my 6D and i have noticed on the rear screen, there is a black dot, no matter what picture and is in the same place if i zoom in and move around. so I'm guessing dead pixel on the rear screen.

The camera is still under warranty (ends in December), bought in NZ, I cant find the receipt, but there is a picture of it on the canon site when i registered the product.

Now that i know the dot is there it is bugging the hell out of me whenever I look at the screen. Is it worth the hassle to take it in and get fixed over a dot?

I would say yes :) if you see it and it's going to bug you every time why not.

Canon could laugh at you and replace the screen.

one dot today, what next tomorrow? get it sorted. If it were the US, they'd be having the whole camera replaced!

some fairly old canon camera stuff, canon lenses, Manfrotto "thingy", and an M5, also an M6 that has had a 720nm filter bolted onto the sensor:

Went to Ayrlies Gardens out by Whitford today, checked out the wetlands. There was a little bird life around, but they weren't up to much, but it was really peaceful.
Good picnic spot in the summer for anyone looking for one! Take sunscreen however. I was out for about 2 hours, 930 until 1130 and I'm now lightly sun burnt.

It was taken in my 'lunch room' almost exactly 7 yrs ago. :) My processing skills have improved a liddle :-D

It is in fact Clinton a small town halfway between Balclutha and Gore, also halfway between Dunedin and Invercargill.

I am glad you like it, thankyou.

Yep, those are terrific but doing key wording, IPTC data entry etc would drive your keyboard around the twist......
