Well just going through 12 years of landscape photos, deleteing crap and general rubbish. Almost deleted 50% of all photos.

I had thought of replacing my 17-40 with this https://www.progear.co.nz …mm-f-28-vc-lens-eos/19318 (external link)

but I think I would settle with 16-35 F4 https://www.progear.co.nz …,796,-now-$1,599%29/18200 (external link) only because the filter system that I have got will work and I wouldn't have to buy another. The IS would have been nice and would have come in helpful when in Melbourne last year.

However the 24-105 that I am using is quite soft and I don't know if I should repalce it and or get it serviced.

I like my 17-40 and don't miss the IS of the 16-35, but feel I should. I get shaky sometimes and am usually in 100 asa. I am considering the 70-200 f2.8 non IS. I wouldn't mind the 100 mm macro either, I suspect it does not need to be the L lens either. A cheap 50 may be on the cards and I am seriously looking at the eos 760 for the 1.6 sensor and swing out touch screen. Then again I need to do a serious stock take of myself also, I have not been getting out an awful lot lately.

Oh yes, I have always thought my 24-105 L is a bit soft also.

I also like my 17-40 but when your shooting at .4 sec at 17mm and even tho your leaning up against a wall. perhaps that IS would help. but there are more important things to spend the cash on at the moment so it's a while away yet.

I wouldn't worry about if/when you take photos. still have an interest and still want to do it then keep the toys. You don't want to find youself wanting to get out and not have anything to shoot with.

The trick is to lean the camera up against the wall :)

That is a nice piece of advice and philosophy. :-D ( Chris whips out to buy a rubber ducky for bathtime) :p:rolleyes::lol:
