Do what I did a while back, take off the UV filter? Get it serviced? Probably be a good walk around lens on a crop body.

THIS IS A LOW QUALITY PREVIEW. Please log in to see the good quality stuff.

some fairly old canon camera stuff, canon lenses, Manfrotto "thingy", and an M5, also an M6 that has had a 720nm filter bolted onto the sensor:

I was amazed how much sharper my lenses got when I took mine off. Nothing on the front now!:-|

I too like the second photo, Paul. Nice composition. (Referring to the shot of the harbour bridge with parking lot below... Posting skills a bit out of practice)

10 years of photography here what Ive learnt by going through 500+ gig of photos

1-take plenty of photos, but use different vantage points and focal lengths
2 dont forget foreground (most of photos Ive deleted had nothing to lead eye into)
3-shoot manual mode
4- take 3 exposures (not always for HDR often blending)
5-go back to same spot in different seasons

6-after 10 years clear out the rubbish ( copy all pics to another HDD and delete from backup)
7-be ruthless remember your after the best

8-learn to post process your photos to your taste
9-let people be critical with your work and dont take it personally

10 Dont leave the best on a HDD, have a website and print for wall (this is where im up to)

Happy 2016 lets get out there :)

PS - Buy good gear esp lens ............

Here's one I learnt the hard way, remember, even if you don't like a certain pic, others most certainly will.

Happy 2016 photo chums! Long time no visit. I trust you are all well. A quiet summer for me so far. Hotting up this weekend - going sailing for a bit. I'll take my camera...
