GKPE 8, Yet more NZ ramblings from some flightless Kiwis.

hopefully it's just the OS is broken....
we use Shadowprotect at work, and while it's functional, I really dislike their licensing model (each USB key we have has to connect with a licensing server every month in order to keep functioning)

recently I have used macrium software (free) to clone HDD's. the price is good for this product.

I have used getdataback for ntfs to try and recover data and that works well also. I can take some time but if there is at least a file system on the HDD then it's worth ago

Photography has been on the back-burner somewhat for me for the last few months. Getting back into it again. Got a few clear nights, just in time for galactic core season!

Autumn used to be my favourite season (photographically speaking) when we lived in Colorado. Not so much now here in Auckland, but still nice to spot the odd bit of colour.

i sold my Canon 6D, just saw the cost of success fee's im having to pay them $114!!!

i dont know how long the cost has been higher, but it seems like they have put there rates up

Talking of GAS borrowed some gear from canon last week, 5dsr, 11-24 and 35L mk2.

wow that 3L is stunning! looks so boring, dull lens.

but the images.. wowzers...

Might have been an expensive decision.

I went the cheap option and got the Tamron 35 1.8 and I love this lens. it's smaller but the build quality is great and I get good images from it.

I would love to play with the 5Dsr, only to see what the images look like. But then there is plenty of camera gear that I would love to play with. digital medium format anyone

was quite disappointing and its quite hidden to find out how to work out the fees.

buynow was hit at $1450 then deduct the fees . sold same day, so was possibly to low.

nice, the 5Dmk3 is a good camera. I am waiting for the replacements to come out
