Has photography become irrelevant in Auckland or is it just we are all too busy taking pics to keep this thread alive and interesting?

So here's a post from me, no pics but... about 6 wks ago Cannon serviced my cam and matched up the 25-105 for me. All excited I went down under the Auck Harbour bridge to take some pics see how this it was working. Got out of my van and froze, a blast of cold wind almost turned me into a block off ice. I got so cold so quick I could hardly hold the cam, so it was back into the van for me. Since then I have taken only a couple of pics and have not even looked at them, lost interest, lost my mojo I guess and have been spending more time at trying to buy warm clothes and in particular a jacket. I am not really willing to spend 5 or 6 hunnerd on a jacket but even then, cheapskate me has not seen anything that really suits lifting the camera up etc. So, any suggestions any one?

Haven't found many Aucklanders eager to get together to shoot, so been going out by myself every now and then. This was this past Thursday morning, just before the storm rolled through, at Shakespear:

A lot of people have had life changing experences and photography has taken a back seat. Others have simply found other intrests. Some are making money and no longer need to be here to learn.

Personally im just board with auckland

Yeah I know exactly what you mean Tony, I'm profoundly deaf, have a very debilitating terminal illness, some life changing experiences there. In truth I was never here to learn so much as for companionship and sharing a common interests.

As for Auckland being boring, as a person who has been to every major city in NZ and a lot of towns as well I can safely say Auckland is the prettiest city in NZ, it has a vibrant mix of peoples, it always has something going on, it is an extremely photogenic city.

You need to hang on to your 'joie de vivre', smile some, and perhaps be generous with others.
