foggy it was, probably 10 mins after the sun had started breaking through and 1/2 an hour after I was supposed to have been elsewhere working. I blamed the traffic & no-one batted an eyelid

I think I like that better. Yep I remember that bailey bridge, was treacherous in the wet also, particularly if on bikes of both types

Like it as well. The only thing that distracts my eye a bit is the billboard at upper left (because it's so bright and has a face on it). Not sure what you'd do about it though (other than heavy Photoshopping). But very nice regardless.

Went down to the beach this morning, settled myself in this little corner, wrapped up the camera in a plastic bag and shot this with a 10-stop ND:

few others from the night can be found on the flickr link. but i dont think any are as good.

I like this photo, it doesn't look like auckland. my first thought was that it wasn't akl.

Dont do nuffing, it's fine, it fits the scene. There are lots of sort of adjustments you see when other people point them out. When you work on a pic put it down for 24 hrs when you think you have finished and have a fresh look. If you are still happy go ahead and do what you intend, ie print, display, or show and ask questions.

I thought about this one and my nit pick which you can do very little about apart from crop, is the woman with the brolly could be further right and walking into the pic. However I still like the pic as much as I said originally.

Are phone camera pics frowned upon here? Just came back from a recent trip and haven't yet looked at the photos from the DSLR, but did record quite a collection of photos from my iPhone 6.

not at all frowned upon... pictures are pictures regardless of what's used in the process. I probably like the San Fran one best out of the selection!
