Yes :/

Body is a little more than i was expecting, thought it would be about 3700 or something

28-70 doesnt surprise me its f2.0, nor does the 50.

The cpl adaptor though $1k? wtf are they smoking its $299 usd?!

Yes but, when you look at the levels of our dollar compared to USD (we lost a lot of ground over the last 12 months) and shipping and GST etc that sounds about correct.

I'd be checking the cables before spending any money...

to be honest I haven't checked the cables. A cheaper test will do the trick. I am however using a GT760 running a 1440p monitor. My computer is getting older now.

This is when you need a friend the US that can do the shipping for free :)

Honestly? Too much contrast I think, to telly the truth I am not sure what it is, it seems over all too dark for my taste?

not sure what it is about the middle section that is the problem for me - looks a little like HDR but with jpeg problems (might look better on original than in my browser?)

Having the lighthouse dead center wouldn't be my pick of crop options although the twisting waterline leads you there anyway.

What are you doing differently in processing?

Went to the Battle of Britain memorial at the museum this morning (having cobbled the 100-400mm back together somewhat working)
Noted a lot of the ATC cadets on parade would have been of similar age as those actually flying in 1940...

I like the old timey sepia wash. It really suits that photo.
I ran away from home to the RNZAF age 15 1/2. I was classed as airman cadet. I do not think that is allowed anymore.

The composition doesn’t work for me. My eyes wonder around the image, not sure what I should be looking at.

Food. Food Food. Brought up in Mangere Bridge and the food in the RNZAF was of quality and type that frankly was beyond my belief. We could even chose what we wanted for our meals.

Absolutely awe inspiring amazing. Shame I went deaf. :(

Cheers that's what I was looking for ….. I thought my images lacked contrast so played a bit, may have played 2 much :)
I chose this image because of the different colours and tried to make it stand out, composition was off I agree but the thing that spoils it for me is back ground hills they are wrong colour/to dark

I made 3 different selections based on tones and adjusted contrast to each.

I guess I need to find a PP formula and basically stay with it …….. consistency across my landscapes

I guess the key issue is working out what is wrong with a photo first before you can fix it in post.

For me that 1/3rd lower foreground doesnt help at all, get rid make a pano it helps.

Then we have shitton of micro contrast dragging our eyes everywhere, with no actual main subject and then a busy but not very interesting sky.

I think you could have got closer to that S bend in the water made that the foreground feature, cut out the side contrast and have the big rock thing as the feature, long exposure those couds and it would have been primo
