Luminar and Aurora are same company and I have also found, Mac lovers. There is a 'new' luminar coming next month, their updates are free. I have found the AI sky fixer which is new does not work on my windoze. Oh well. The freebie photo edit software is probably very good in the main, I have played with Raw Therapee and Darktable but I do not find them intuitive to use, possibly lazy praps. ;) I am afraid I do like drag and drop software.

ACDSee does very well but lots more than I need. OnOne has been horrible and topaz as bad except it now works fine with jpegs. I find also RW2 files from the Lumix G9 are not yet so well catered for.

Thanks for the info. Yes knew they were same company, one product for RAW conversion, and the other for HDR, and that developed for Mac. I got sucked in by an ad elsewhere, not realising their Win versions not fully developed. Guess I'll stick with LR for the time being. I do have something called DxO or a name like that - a free version off a CD from a magazine, but haven't spent enough time using it.

Yes - for the short time I was there he did maybe three casts and each time probably 5 - 6 or more little fish. I then watched from where I had lunch, and it continued for at least 30 minutes, and I don't know how long they were there beforehand.

Despitr that, I found the technique interesting.

For months, maybe longer, years maybe I have been frustrated with my processed pics landing on the desktop as 'splodge'. As we all know, I am no tech geek, in fact I am possibly the most untech keeg (the opposite of geek?) in these forums. I struggle with software, I struggle with computers and I struggle with camera menus.

Last nite I spent over fours hours of intense frustration trying to perfect pics like the bee's backside above, some scenery pics, some street scenes and all with the same result. Export to desktop and hey presto, instant splodge! They look fine in the software but ... an unfocused soft splurdgey splodge in picture viewer. After 4 hrs I gave up. Midnite, Had a cup of coffee, a snack, jam and nutella choccy sandwich. Bed around 2 am.

This morning back at it, no matter what software I use the same, expressionist unfocussed modern art on my desktop.

So I think, could my puter be stuffing up the files during export? I watch as a pic on my desk opened sharp and in a flash was turned to mush. Ok google the problem and find heaps of files telling me how to sharpen pics in what software. Yeah right.

Around 2 hours of search and found some threads along the same lines as was bugging me, then... wait for it... an explanation, it is actually the viewing software and to fix it, download and install of all things, Restore Windows Photo Viewer which of course is free.

So if others are having similar probs, there is and answer. Another suggestion which I have not tried was Irfan view which is still around.

So I do hope this may help other Windose 10 users.
