well PP is up to you. I would have use a slower shutter as I like that effect. Framing is ok to me.

it would be interesting to see what else is in the area you are shooting. It's hard to know if the composition is good without knowing the area.

I like that one more, I am not a fan of dark moody skys. I like a bit of blue.

Tony, the first looks like an over cooked HDR to me. The 2nd is far nicer.

Chris wasn't HDR all done in RAW. The clouds pushed to hard with grad filter in post, the sun was hitting the foreground rocks
The second was auto in lightroom raw no other PP

to me it looks much less overcooked - although I liked the skies in the earlier edit, they looked like skies from a picture taken at another time from the foreground (if that makes sense)
the second edit looks much more balanced, if a little flat.

some fairly old canon camera stuff, canon lenses, Manfrotto "thingy", and an M5, also an M6 that has had a 720nm filter bolted onto the sensor:
TF posting: here :-)

I agree with all this, but I dunno how to unflat it, contrast maybe? The sky in the first as well as the almost glowing green on the rock are what made me think it was HDR. I do like this version.
