Hmmm - howevr boring it might be to trot out , could this help with images? I feel both need to be moved to left of th image .... just my opinion though

These were test shots, both HDR, both super wide and both had issue with sun in them. The reason for the centre was the stack, it has had yrs and yrs of gannett poo drifting down giving it some amazing colours. The problem with this spot and fisherman's rock is it kills people (second photo right side). The shot I wanted is looking directly on to the flat area and making it look like a bow of a ship, but due to the waves coming in I couldn't get to stay there long enough.

I would need to wait for the tides to be right and at sunset as well as a calmer day.

Well 3 camera shops latter got to test Canon 11-24, interesting lens, setting up a CP and ND filters wont be cheap, NiSi do them. Heavy lens and bulb sticks right out would look at a second-hand one but $4k new bit much. Next lens to look at is 17 Tilt and Shift.

Just spent 2hrs going through a flickr group with 11-24 ……… seems to be all about the foreground and had to be shot basically straight on or it goes weird, well lets face It as it is raining not much else to do
:)

Does anyone know whether Bechextech are OK to deal with? I'm assuming they're parallel importers.

Yes, I wouldn't go near them.

Buy from a proper camera shop, yes it costs more, but you also know you're getting proper service and after sales support.

Yet they still have to comply with NZ Consumer Laws and Guarantees.

Hmmm - so maybe a rethink? Will check website to see if physical address. They say they have one year warranty.

Giving it serious thought. Can use Canon lenses with adapter with full auto - like the idea of five axis stabilisation, and ability to use canon lenses.

Have a read through their feedback on pricespy. After doing that I wouldn’t touch them. Lots of stories of people receiving second hand phones sourced overseas and sold as new and other similar dodgy things.

Ive gone off trademe as well unless I can pickup. Once they have your money hard to get it back. I always check out the secondhand dept of camera shops, yes you pay a bit more but you have comeback.

I'm thinking about Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mk II - it's probably a bit high spec for my actual needs, but I like the idea of the image stabilisation, the weather sealing, and that I could use Canon lenses with an adapter. An INternet "friend" on a Facebook photography page has bought one for birding, and while I shoot what I see, I do enjoy shooting birds, but can't hold large lenses steady, and this gives twice the focal length apparently. Mulling it over ....

I really like the Canon M5, but I like to shoot in all weathers, and it's not sealed, so I wrap it in plastic bags, but always nervous.

I'm in Hawkes Bay and while I haven't done a good search of camera shops, not sure what is on offer here. I know there's a place in Palmy, which isn't too far away.
