Napier yesterday - the pinboard wall on the outside of MTG. Visitors from the UK and Wairarapa, so a mini walk around.

G9 with the Lumix 14-140 f3.5-5.6, as it's the only m4/3 lens I own

Haumoana today: daily walk with the dog, and opportunity to learn the G9.

Set up for landscape - hence my dog suddenly arriving in frame, shutter was too slow to capture him.

To the Panasonic G9 users - for battery life do you turn off after each shot or rely on bringing camera life to life with half press of shutter, or is that not a feature on this camera. Doing some reading, but haven't found out yet.
Thanks

I mostly just leave mine turned on. I’ll usually only turn it off if I’m finished using it for a while, or putting it away in the bag, and I have never run out, but I tend to only shoot for a couple of hours at a time.

The deal I got from Auckland camera included 2 extra batteries “free” so I always have a spare in the bag, but so far I haven’t needed it. One of the extra batteries is still in the packaging and has never been used.

A few more from Sunday morning:

Thanks. I've never fully used a battery in one bout of photos, as usually I'm only shooting an hour or so. I have a spare battery and try to always have a back up when I go out.

Thanks Chris. Expensive for the time I suppose and sad not getting to see the rest of the family. Caught up with one brother in Picton but missed out on the other 6 brothers and sisters and my father as well. Always next time.....
