Thanks Chris - they didn't fly it while I was there, just did a taxiing loop around some cones & then parked it up while doing some engine runs (sounded like about 1/2 power)
15 minutes of my day well spent! <grin> I posted a couple more in the Transportation section.

some fairly old canon camera stuff, canon lenses, Manfrotto "thingy", and an M5, also an M6 that has had a 720nm filter bolted onto the sensor:

I probably spend more time there than most other places on POTN - click my avatar & check out a few posts etc.
A lot of the folks on Transport are awesome, a few are excellent, a number are superb (Mike Deep etc) :-)

Who else got shots of the auroras from a few nights ago?
I was lucky to find a perfect little spot to camp near Lake Pukaki, with the beautiful Milky Way as well. I so love this country, and this area in particular.

**Aviation LIVE Day Flypast**
Hot news! On Sunday, NZ Warbirds will be overflying the Cenotaph at the Auckland War Memorial Museum at 1110 and then track overhead MOTAT at 1115. A great addition to MOTAT’s Aviation LIVE Day! This is part of the Battle of Britain commemorations. They are planning on a Spitfire, P40, 7 Harvards, Stearman, Yak 52, CT4 and others. Plans are subject to weather and serviceability on the day.

Sunday weather looks good...

Had a couple of nights in Wellington for work, and took the Canon M5 as it fits into my work bag. A few black and white, cross posted in the black and white section, which I stumbled across.

Various edits according to what I liked with any particular image.
