^^^

The top one, print and frame, it's good.

Maybe look at slightly less dark shadows and light sepia tint, but it is good.

Hi Rosey

For me the top one is the better of the two, however the post processing of the clouds tends to dominate the landscape. So that leads the viewer to ask, what is the subject and to have the eye go to the top.

If you want the landscape to dominate, I would tone back the clouds and possibly reduce the clarity or sharpness as it seems to have developed a lot of grain in the clouds. There are some places in the clouds where it looks like you have used a tool to darken and that shows, toning down will help reduce that.

I actually think, looking that the first colour one, that the balance there is about right. Perhaps just convert that to monochrome without further processing and see how that goes.

Thanks for the feedback. I thought the clouds dominated as well, the Nik conversion seems to have created that somehow. It was the colour version that was converted. I might try just a single shot and convert that rather than the HDR version ....

just my 5c worth, to me all the versions look more balanced with the top 1/3rd cropped off....

Another try, and I've done a 6 x 3 crop, but I think does improve it. Nik conversion from a single image, rahter than the HDR version.

I liked the big dark looming cloud in the original.

... and used it very nicely too. I love the way it is well lit with out over exposing the sky too much. Well done.

I think my camera is still working... :D
