I used to hate doing Hot Rod shows.

must say there's a particular breed of car show person, that can clearly see you're standing there waiting for a shot without said person in the photo, and continues standing there anyway not even looking at the car in question!
Is it just me or if you front up to a car without anyone around it and aim your camera at said car, does not 20 people suddenly become interested in said car?

some fairly old canon camera stuff, canon lenses, Manfrotto "thingy", and an M5, also an M6 that has had a 720nm filter bolted onto the sensor:

Question for 10 points, ( Tag141?) - on a Mini with a special crossflow head - where are the plugs & how does one change them?

My educated guess would at the back and great difficulty/engine out.

Okay... if there are 14.7 atoms of air, and there is 1 atom of fuel, how many revolutions of the speedo will equal 160Km/hr if you split the hydrogen atoms on only cylinders 2 & 3?

looks interesting when googling "crossflow head for mini" appears the plugs go in the front (somewhere under the inlet manifold)
wonder what they're worth? still have the largely unmodified A30 in the shed...

Ah, so it's not a Ford crossflow. So my next guess would have been (https://www.specialist-components.co.uk …7-port-cylinder-head.html (external link))

I suspect a manifold off job and lots of manifold sealant to put back on. The orange sealant was good, didn't break off and go down anywhere undesirable. Use platignum plugs and change every 50000 kms?

But anyway, the cost of getting a special head and mods and difficulty will add maybe 5 usable hp for everyday driving. I had a friend put in a 1600 conventional drive ford in one of those boddies. Was a fun car. Try something easier, a computer controlled 2 ltr would fly. Fast camera car ;)

Do you actually have a 7 port head for your mostly unmodified A30?

nope - currently sporting the famous 803cc powerhouse, the best I have in the shed is a 1275cc Marina engine (I won't count the other two 1098 blocks with 2-piece crankshafts)
There are some disc hubs & a Peugeot 405 Master cylinder waiting to be fitted though, does that count?

Yes it does, absolutely. Like my largely unmodified mini.
