Very cool - did you need to use one of the new Uranium-core CPU's to process the image?

Or the dark matter based GPU. Hmmm that gives me an idea, what about some new exotic lens type that uses dark matter for gravitational lensing instead of traditional glass, perfect image quality, just don't expect to be able to pick the thing up!

Camera question but not for me. Daughter is off to Bougainville for 6 months or so and is looking for a reasonable camera. Needs to be fixed lens and be suitable for the high humidity, rugged conditions. Long battery life would be a bonus.

Look at Panasonic. here are some examples

Canon Cares: 3:20pm on a Thursday, canon.co.nz (i.e. Canon Oceania) is offline for maintanance.... talk about misjudging your maintenance window time!

IT question

Vodafone fibre modems do they still have a RJ45 connection to hook up a switch?

This time next week we will be in Te Awamutu :)

Waikanae - there's an extensive network of shared walking/cycling pathways here, and I've exploring some of them. There's also a restoration project at the Estuary, with clearing of gorse, blackberry and pampas going on, with more planned.

Every one I've ever seen has had them... A lot of them these days have a 4-port 1Gbs/ switch built in.
My Dad got "migrated" from Vodafone Vdsl to 4G a few months ago & both old & new modem had 4x Gig ports (not that their thruput is anywhere near that though!)

Hope the move goes well - look forwards to the rural photos!

I imagine there's a shedload of work between the "before" & "after" photos!
