Come on Cindy open Auckland I want to get to progear ...............

No one in Hamilton does the Fuji GFX range so cant have a play.

I have to decide between GFX100 or GFX100s but until I have both side by side I wont know .....no shops in Hamilton have GFX dealership (rang Fuji NZ)
100 is same size as my 1Dsmk3 and 100S same as my 5Ds ......... but I need that in my hands experence ....bit like taking a car for test drive
Will only have 1 lens 32-64 which is basically 25-51mm 35mm format. Will sell our 5Dmk3 and 5Ds but keep 1Dsmk3 and glass as fuji line up limited and GFX not a BiF or Sports camera.

Few more thoughts ......

changing systems is a pain in the butt. Can have 1 camera and 1 lens .......
trying to work out your most used focal length is easier with lightrooms metadata but you cant export results to excel
waiting to get to auckland is testing my patience :)

Live view on a 27in monitor solves all sorts of shorted and long sighted problems.

Not ideal for field work though.

NEEDS vs WANTS

Since the release of the GFX 50s i have WANTED to move from canon to Fuji .....2 yrs later GFX100s .........It would be ok if it just stopped there but it doesn't. You have to add lens ..... at about $4000 each.
So now we are getting closer to $20,000 and yes I have the means but can no longer justify that sort of money on a hobby at makes $0 a year.

So canon it stays after all I have all I need except a filer system so looking at either Nisi or Kase CP and 3 stop 6 stop 10 stop filers dont need grads lightroom takes care of them along with bracketing.
I do hope canon bring out a landscape orientated mirrorless with better ISO and DR with IBIS and touch screen I could justify a camera but not an entire system

Anyway photo time on my 2015 canon camera with no filters :)

Decided I needed a treat so got this ..... call it merry xmas or congrad on new job not cheap but I am lacking a descent filter system.
Just waiting for phone call from Spinal surgeon after MRI scan re did my back again so lets see how much damage I did this time. Only took 2 years to heal last time :)

https://www.kasefilter.co.nz …ur-system-entry-level-kit (external link) + 3 stop to go with 6 stop

graduated filter come with so will have play but normally do in post. reverse grad could help with seascapes at sunset.

Now we in level2 may do a trip down to snow and look at some new spots for next winter
