Jupiter with G11...is this the best I could do?

I tried to capture Jupiter with my G11....Optical Zoom all the way, ISO 400, 4.5 at 4 seconds. Manual Focus to Infinity, IS off, on tripod

This is a 100% crop and the original below.

I see that I got the moons, but Jupiter is just a white blob.

I think these are great, but curious if there was something I could do with the G11 to get this shot even better. Without Stacking.

I think that's very good for a G11.

Even with a very long lens Jupiter would still appear like a big glow, mainly because you've over-exposed it. If you expose Jupiter such that you can see detail, you'll find that you can't actually see the moons. So try reducing the exposure a bit and see how you go.

If you have a good pair of 7 x 50 binoculars, try shooting thru that. Most good binoculars have a 1/4-20 mount for attachment to a tripod
