Hi all,

(sorry if this is in the wrong place)

I am going on holiday in a couple of weeks and I need to get some insurance.

I am going to the Maldives to scuba diver, so need my insurance to cover my water sports but I also need it to cover my scuba equipment (about £500) and my photography equipment (about £5000) but I cant seem to find anything that will cover me?

Most insurance has a single item limit of £250 - so my 1D mark III wouldn't be covered?

Any thoughts?

Thanks for your help,

Joe

Speak to an insurance broker, he (or she) will be the expert. If mine wants photos he comes to me, I want insurance I go to him.

FWIW, I have business insurance that covers my kit for upto 45 days abroad, but you can add similar things on your holiday insurance if needs be. Make sure you read the small print.

I suggest you talk to one face to face as opposed to those you'll find on that annoying Go Compare singers website!

Hey Joe - I'd check out http://www.travelinsurance.org (external link) - pretty much everything you've ever needed to know about the different options and who offers what kinds of coverage. Hope that helps!
